Steven Abrams

Palm Beach County Commissioner
Former Mayor of Boca Raton

Steven Abrams was elected mayor of Boca Raton in March 2001 and re-elected in 2003 and 2005 after having previously served as a city council member from 1989-1999. He oversaw much of the growth of our city and led our city during the Anthrax scare.

In March 2009, Abrams was appointed by Florida Governor Charlie Crist to occupy the district four county commission seat vacated by Mary McCarty. He continues to exhibit the leadership skills he honed while mayor and will today give us his view on the “state of our county”
